My Thoughts
Lines in the Sand by S.C. Montgomery is a short prequel to Two Blue Lines. I appreciated reading this novella first because it gave me a glimpse into Reed Young and his best friend Jonah.
These two thirteen year old boys live by the ocean, and one day when they are enjoying the beach they come across a skeleton bone and some articles of clothing. At first, they are led to believe it’s the remains of an old witch that went missing many years prior and to come in contact with her would be a curse. However, when they find out the true backstory to who the skeleton bone and clothing belongs to, it ignites a deep sentiment that forever becomes a part of Reed Young’s life.
This story is engaging, short and enjoyable. I highly recommend readers who are considering to read Two Blue Lines to start off with this book first. Good story!
